Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
$200.00 / Person

ASIST is a two-day, skills-building workshop that prepares caregivers of all kinds to provide suicide first aid interventions. Professionals, volunteers and informal helpers all need to know how to help persons with thoughts of suicide in ways that increase their suicide safety.

Participation in the full two days is required. Enjoy small group discussions and skills practise that are based upon adult learning principles; experience powerful videos on suicide intervention; feel challenged and safe; learn suicide first aid.

Focusing upon the role of ASIST caregivers in a suicide-safer community, the goal of ASIST is to train caregivers who are willing, ready and able to provide life-assisting, suicide first aid.

ASIST is a comprehensive program of Living Works. The Hope Learning Centre has a certified trainer for this course.
